This new generation has been an era of technological advancements including the gadgets used in photography. Gone are the days when taking a photograph is limited to the use of films and complicated camera units. Today we are offered with a selection of photographic products that allows us to take pictures anytime and anywhere. Plus the fact that photo sharing is now even made easier through the Internet. Who needs to spend more on bulky photo albums when you can simply store copies of digital photographs in your computer or upload it straight to your online photo compilation?
On this week, Sony jumps in to the trend of online image sharing and introduced the PlayMemories Online. This new storage service was launched just a few days ago and already available in most parts of the globe like USA, UK, France, Germany, Canada and Japan. The free service offers up to 5GB in storage size.
The great thing about PlayMemories Online is that its purpose does not limit to Sony cameras only. The storage service can also be used on other Sony gadgets like the PlayStation 3, Bravia television sets, digital photo frames, Bloggie camcorders and mobile phones. PlayMemories online also plans to expand its services with a new photo editing suite which can be accessible to gamers using PlayStation gadgets including the latest PS Vita.
Sony will continue to move forward to keep up with the tight competition in the market. The PlayMemories Online may just have opened new possibilities for the company and show more rooms for improvements too.
