Sony has unveiled two new 16-megapixel digital cameras which serve as an update for both SLR Alpha and NEX line-ups. The two recently released cameras are the SLT-A37 and NEX-F3. Both cameras feature the latest BIONZ image processors and 16.1 effective megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensors which make them capable of delivering high quality images with less amount of noise.
The SLT-A37 is a new camera great for enthusiasts. It features a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD screen which can be easily tilted for various angle positioning. The camera is equipped with Sony’s Translucent Mirror Technology that allows continuous shooting with autofocus features and live image preview reaching up to seven frames per second. It is capable of producing sharp quality of still images and full HD videos.
The SLT-A37 single-lens kit is available with an 18-55mm lens with a price around $600. Meanwhile, the twin-lens kit including a 55-210mm lens has an estimated price of $895. On the other hand, the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens can also be selected for the twin-lens kit.
The Sony NEX-F3 is available in three colors: black, white, and pink. It suits enthusiasts who prefer an efficient compact digital camera. Novice shooters will love its lightweight design and the available interchangeable lenses. It also includes control to help beginners achieve precise compositions and enjoy the experience more. The basic kit lens will be more or less $700.
