Photographers Tours Around America and Sends Out Postcards

It seems like ages ago since I last sent or received a postcard.  The postcards are quite the best compositions that reveal the beauty of a particular place.  The wide use of social networking sites and online photo albums may have pushed aside the use of postcards.  However, a photography project shall be conducted this summer as two Brooklyn-based photographers go around America for three months and send original postcards with their photographs from each state.

postcards for you!

The project is called Going Nowhere which originally planned to visit 48 lower states while sharing their experiences through photographs and postcards.  The project was funded by Kickstarter with a pledge of $2 for each backer.  The photographers will pay for the whole trip.  Eventually they decided to visit Alaska and Hawai too after reaching their funding goal of $7,500.

The adventure has already begun for this month of June.  Each of the original backers shall receive a postcard from each State as personally made and guaranteed by the photographers.  And as they finish the trip by September, there will be 10-50 box sets of postcards available which will be sold to anyone interested.

For more details of the trip, check out goingnowhe.re and see as they put an X as it marks the spot of every State they have already visited.
